i remember reading a thread that said it was an entire mechanism that needed to be replaced. You might have to take the door panels off , so I myself would leave it to the dealer.

There have been several threads on this one. The fronts screw on and the rears are pressure connections. A few of the members have found ways around replacing the entire rear mechanism so do an advanced search to find one of the threads with the DIY info.
