Cooling liquid message
Hi,
I'm posting here a message that I received when trying to start the car in these last few cold days ( -15° C night, -6° C day). While in French, it tells you that I need to fill in the cooling liquid (?) and to read the manual for further details.
Not having the manual with me, I'm turning to the members of this forum to help me a bit on what exactly does this message means.
Thx

J' ai pas de problèmes avec ma S204 mais elle dort dans le garage ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Maybe it's just the cold playing tricks but it's not an urgent matter. Drove around like this in the E91 for months before topping up and no damage. You can fill it yourself, just check the mix. Or drive to a Mercedes dealer and get it refilled it won't cost more than 5€![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

MBWorld Fanatic!
There is a least one other post on the forum covering this. Basically cold snaps cause this message but it seems to be more of an over sensitive sensor than an acutally issue with the coolant level.

^^
mine too...no big deal. only happens on the extremely cold days and goes away after a few mins of warming the engine. its usual for engine coolant to evaporate a little over the course of a year or so. top it off, your fine.
