Wheel well paint chip

Guys,
I was cleaning my car last weekend and using compressed air to dry the rims and cracks before drying the car with the waffel weave towel. I saw some "mung" in the lower corner of the wheel well so I shot it with the compressed air and a big paint flake came off Not sure what to do if anything, but if you used compressed air on your cars, be careful. I'm going to turn my PSI down a bit from now on and stay away from the rubber / plastic surfaces.

Hit it with some black paint or brush-on truck bed liner (Line-X) in that area in both wheel wells. Noone will ever know and you will never have to worry about it again.

Get some touch up paint and cover it up. It wont look perfect but it will help it from chipping anymore.

That's why he needs to cover it with line-x or something similar. Hell, I may do mine to avoid it completely.

I just used soap and water there. Compressed air alone can do alot of damage, especially when it's run through a nozzel. There are some "safety" nozzels that have cross holes drilled it in to aleviate this problem.
I think I'm going to get some body paint, scuff it down and reshoot it with my detal gun in the summer. I think it's just poor adheasion on the paint in this one area. Uhhh, I wouldn't put truck bed liner on my baby

Why not? Just in that area for protection makes sense. It would blend right in with the felt and black plastic.

My wheel looks exactly the same. lol paint fell off when i was using my compress air gun to clean dirty and sand in my wheel well. I paint seems fragile below there. I might just spray some black spary paint just to hide it.

I don't think protection is really needed. It's plastic back there so it's not like it is going to rust or anything. If this were my daily driver (oh, wait - it is LOL) I would just shultz it, but we are driving nice cars here my friend

I'll paint it in the spring... the devil is in the details...

Ha ha. I am not suggesting you make it visible. I just thought it would alleviate the need to keep doing it and/or worrying about it. I looked at mine when I went home eariler and noticed that the paint in that area is very thin. Anyway, good luck. Make sure the chip doesn't get bigger.
