I really like the EXPRESSION hood. C63 hood is nice, too. But I feel that those super mean looking hood should only go on something with 400+ HP cars.
I would just get the regular C class hood and save the money.

Question: Am I missing something? What is the point of getting CF only to paint it? Or is it that you just want a specific design and that hood only comes in CF?

Cause it's really lightweight (Half the weight as OEM). Though if I were to buy it I dunno if I would paint it since I have a black car. (Not that much of a color difference)

IF you can buy a C63 bumper (original MB) with less money, why buy aftermarket parts? The W204 was design with aftermarket parts (Car and Driver), I prefer use OEM C63 parts, NOT like BMW go to 335 to M3 is a nightmare, many tuners and bodykits are availble. With W204 go to C63 look.

the point of CF is that it is lightweight & strong. The fact that people dont paint the Cf parts are either so that they want to show off the fact that they have CF, or that they dont want to add weight by paining it.

C63 hood doesn't fit on the C300/C350 so in order to change the hood to C63 the bumper has to be replaced and alot of fabrication/changes need to be made and is just alot of a hassle.

Hopefully someone will come out with a body kit for the C300/C350 with the C63 style hood.

hood has the same dimension width. fender's wider. should fit fine. there's a CF version out there on Hong Kong ebay that's fitted on the regular 204.

all the MB aftermarket CF hoods have place to mount the OE hardware.

C230 W204 with C63 Kit Package
I thought the same just to swap, however, it turned out not a simple job. I did the conversion (CLICK HERE, scroll to bottom). Took a month to do it for me in local body shop.

You have to move the radiator forward by some inches since the hood and fenders are longer than regular C-class. Mine was a C230. My local shop made an extension bracket. As the radiator is moved, you can imagine you got to make some extensions also to other parts that's attached to it (e.g. the air hose). Other stuffs you need to change are inner liners for the fenders are also different. So make sure you buy not just the hood and fenders.

Simplest one, as others suggested, is to look for conversion kit for C-class, not the original C63.

Yes, you would have to purchase a replica c63 hood for the c300 as it is about 3" shorter. It is about the same price and from the pictures on the forum, look to be pretty good quality.

SAVE UP AND BUY THE REAL DEAL

I have the C63 bumper and the grille in my C350. If somebody can verify is the hood can be fit or not, let me know, the price of the C63 hood is the double of the C350. It is a good experiment, but a little expensive.

Thanks,

I don't get why you wanna do this. Your car is a total fake. Getting the AMG front bumper is just overkill. Just save up and buy a REAL C63 if you want it so bad. Please don't be fake, you'll only embarrass yourself.

Why are folks harping on the OP for this? It's his car, let him enjoy it as he sees fit. There's tons of other posts of members removing tags from c250's, adding c63 diffusers and welding the 4 exhaust tips... While I've kept my car original, to each their own, they paid for their cars!
