comfort/sports... Initial Acceleration!

seems like i have to press 1/2 the way down on the pedal to make a quick right of left turn... this is on both sports and comfort modes... even when i'm in manual tip tronic...

i read something about resetting the TCU *i think* it supposedly learns your driving habits...

the car i got had 17 clicks on it...

could this be the reason for the weak initial acceleration?

17miles on it is normal.

the TCU learns the driving pattern after approx. tank of gas or two. if you drive more aggressively all the time the throttle will be more aggressive. just reset the tcu like the above said if you are feelling some lag.

I had the dealer update the software which made the throttle much more responsive. I dont know if he only reset it, but i didnt drive aggressively or anything to make it stay.

I had the same issue and it does largely disappear after a few thousand KM. I think it's a break-in program or something, but I did do the ECU reset as well at about 5000KM. In the beginning I was thinking what kind of POS did I buy with that pathetic acceleration....

Now at 10,000 KM lots of go but still have to mash the accelerator - usually I just floor it if need the snap - but lots better in general - I'm used to doing this and have a feel for the car now so not noticeable.
