Where to buy rubber floor mats?
Looking for some quality rubber MB floormats for the 350. Should I just purchase them at the dealer or is there a cheaper alternative?

they are crap, not deep enough, not cut right, don't fit correctly
they have allowed most of the slat water and snow that has melted run off right onto the carpeting, car will require a full detail of the interior carpeting
I will be looking for something much better and deeper, or even just put down some black bath towels first and then the mats on top of them, maybe the towels will absorb the crap instead of the carpeting.

I have the ones from the dealer with the honeycomb pattern - they are great.
For sure if you don't knock the snow & crud off your shoes before hauling your feet in they are not deep enough simply because they are not industrial / farm duty mats. Look hot and clean easily - I keep them in year round.

I second the Weathertech floormats. These are QUALITY mats.
I have yet to buy my own set, but I've bought three sets as gifts for others. Every single recipient is extremely happy with the mats--even my father, who is impossibly picky on just about everything. He's the kinda guy that makes you return gifts if he doesn't like them.
The best part is the deep 'bucket' design. Water and debris do not fall off the sides of the mats, but are contained well within. You just gotta dump out the crap and hose it down.
I would suggest going all the way and ordering both front AND back, though. They're worth it. Ever take guests in the back when it's raining?
Dunno anything about the AutoAnything mats.

Don't go with the dealer rubber mats.... Mine have leaked a lot of water due to not fitting correctly and I now have salt crusting the carpeting and it's going to be a LOT of work this spring getting it cleaned out. Sad that the manufacturer of a premium-class automobile can't figure out how to make floor mats that fit correctly and then charge $85 for a set...

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I am not sure why you would buy the MB mats. They are pretty weak. I actually bought some really good ones from an auto parts store. They hold a lot of water. I like the looks of the weathertechs. Can someone photo the weathertech installed? I want to see the depth and how it fits around the gas pedal. Thanks.

Yes, I'd like to see that too. Had a problem with the OEM winter mats in my TL which let water seep into the carpet and caused a salt-encrusted mess. The TL has a bottom-hinged gas pedal, same as the C, so off-the-shelf mats don't fit.
Want to make sure I don't have the same problems with my new C. I'll definitely check out the Weather-Techs.

No problem. The quality is great, they look great, and they catch pretty much anything thrown their way. The only issue I have with my set is they don't sit 100% flush on the left side. That side got better once I set some books on it over night but it's not flush and I'm a perfectionist. I've seen the MB brand as well as some of the other brands in person and I'd have to say that the weather tech's are the best I've seen so far.
