Great options here guys and gals ...
I'm still looking for the 528xi, and the A5 was on the list but I need a 4dr sedan; perhaps I will take the A6 out this weekend for a test. I'm a bit gun-shy about American cars, so the CTS I'm not sure about.
Not a huge fan of the E, so will keep looking around for sure ...
Maybe I will just give in a get another SUV (GLK); it's really pointless, but maybe to make the decision easier; I know for sure it won't be a 3 series, those are way too bland and small.
Ah well ... keep the suggestions coming Fun times in the next few weeks shopping around for sure.

ok this is simple. NO G35 and No 3-series. This is why.
1. G35- my previous car was G35 coupe. This car is loud as open car. The wind noise, road noise, and the engine is so loud, I could not hear passenger if they told softly. And it's japanese car(although I say it's better than acura or other japanese motor, it is still japanese car). You will feel the difference.
2. BMW 3-series - simply why buy the simillar car? If you are thinking about chaning it to xi model, then maybe. othere than that, the car is pretty much similar and you will lose money by trading in. Also, IMO I think 3series 4 door looks ugly compare to c-class.
Here is the list of nice car to change if you are looking to change.
-CTS (nice design and nice interior)
-A4 (not so much good interior but exterior looks good, A5 is better)
-A5 (if coupe is ok)
-Mercedes GLK (if you are living in snow area)
-E class(if you can afford one, this is nice, although new model is going to come out)
I would wait for E-class to come out and make the decision.
It's is nice time to buy a car and save if you can buy one, so do some research.

+1 My best car ever was an Acura and I really, really want to like them but damn that is one ugly beak slapped on the front. I understand brand identity and all that stuff but this is too much. I think Audi has done a good job improving on its "way too big" grill so maybe Acura can fix its mess over the next few years.

My only complaint is the car is a little small. I'm dreaming of moving into an S class S65 perhaps The only problem is that you can't get the 7speed with the V12 Bi-turbo - guess it can't handle the horses...

I saw the pictures of the new E-Class coupe (replacing CLK) the other day and I'd have to say that it vaulted ahead of the A-5 for me, especially if they release a 63 Black Series of the car.

The domestic industry has been trying to make this point for years. It is thought to generally take an entire generation to finally lose the bad stigma...once burned, it's hard to forget. Hopefully the "Big Three" can find a way to make it through and become solid (financially and Technically) again.

Wow, that E coupe looks amazing (and expensive). The C-Class is the first car I've ever bought and I put a lot of time and effort into choosing it. I'm surprised a lot of you change cars so often, I don't think I can afford to do something like that.

Yes the new CLK/E class coupe looks amazing, but don't hold your breath for the Black Series to return. The SL 65 Black will most likely be the last of the run that included the CLK Black and the Euro only SLK Black. With the economy around the world the way it is, more and more company's are dropping high performance limited run cars. One thing that really surprises me about the Black Series cars are that they don't give you much better numbers than the stock version (based on a SL 65 comparo). For the added money I would expect to shave at least a full second off of the times, but it doesn't.

C350. I do not see any other car in this segment which could match C. Howver if you just want to dispose $40K, then look for Genesis coupe. V8, 370hp, specious, all modern electronics with backup camera.

The spes on the Genesis are nice but I really don't like the look. Too much of the previous generation Tiburon for my taste.

+2 On the Acura TL. The TL WAS the car I was expecting to buy when I was looking down the road as the previous version was one hellava deal. When the TSX came out and the spy shots of the new TL were hitting the web I started to look at other options. When I came back from Afghanistan, the 1st commercial I saw in the airport was for the new TL where it breaks through the wall of bricks, it was at that time that I said to myself "holy ***** is that thing ugly".

Oh, +1, here. I plan on ordering one (if I cannot find exactly what I want). My lease is up November 12. If I can swing the payment, I will have one of these. I fell it love with it when I first saw the photos on the net. I wish the dash was more like our W204s, but the exterior makes up for it for me.

Well, I think I'm going to take a look an an A6 this weekend; can't really get my mind around the A4, but hey, I could be convinced with the right package ... the styling is just too bland.
Also, I'll give in take the CTS out as well ... but is this a bad time to be buying GM????
Lastly, the 5 and E are on the list, I have a few feelers out for a good 2008 on these, but no hits yet.
Fun

Have fun shopping around...I'm kinda jealous. I don't think buying GM is a bad idea. Of course, stay away from Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer as they are going away or being sold or absorbed. Cadillac has been strong for many years and would certainly make it, even through liquidation, as a separate, viable brand.

W204 C230 2.5L V6
The new '09 A6 is smokin hot, the S6 even more so. The A4 not so much, even at the top end with the RS4, performance and looks aren't up to the industry standard imo.
Personally speaking I would trade in my W204 for a 09 S6, 05/06 E55 or CLS55, 06 M3 or even a G55
Seems universal amongst the W204 owners (non - AMGs) to want to have their next vehicle be similar in styling but upgraded in the engine department. In all fairness though a 3.5L V6 fitted in the top of the line 350 is disappointing.

well, so far I've nto made up my mind, but my car is going on lease busters today.
I got a deal on an 09 E320 but that's only because the new body styling is coming out ... can't wrap my brain around it yet, but will go to drive it this weekend. Still looking at the GLK since the options are really slim. Q5? Not sure.
No A6's in sight, no 528xi's anywhere! My CTS sales guy never called me back, so not sure what's going on there.
That's my shortlist right now.
