Swapping Steering Wheels

Are the Airbag units from the OEM C350 steering wheel and the C63 steering wheel interchangeable? I've been able to locate some C63 steering wheel's for decent prices but the air bag is ridiculously expensive.

Unfortunately they are not interchangeable.

keep in mind that even if you get a c63 steering wheel with the airbag you will still need to get it programmed at the dealer... in other words... more $$

I thought they were plug and play; what type of programming needs to be done? Thanks for the information guys, I was hoping to not spend the 1k quoted by everyone and their mother for the airbag unit.

It is plug and play. All you'd be paying for is the labor for putting it in and resetting the airbag system.
