HID foglights question**

always reading about the eyelids

but does anyone have a link or information as to where i can purchase HID's for the foglights on the sport model ( if not, can someone tell me what size bulbs i need?)

i'd like to get 6000k to match my current xenons andbecause the 8000k is a little too blue for me

thanks!

Any HID PnP kit should work....ebay. Just order the proper bulb fitment....call the dealer and ask what bulb...

If you are putting HID's in your fogs none of them really fit. H7 fits the best, it's not a plug and play type set-up like the headlamps. The fogs have a special housing dust cap that you twist off to remove the light bulb from the back of the glass housing. Then you have drill out the inside of the housing to get the HID bulb to fit.

Myinternetsucks is right, H7 for both the headlamps and fogs; you'll have to do some drilling on the fogs. ACG San Diego has great pricing on the slim ballast w/ error cancelers; do a search for "I think I need HID's" and in that thread you should see their contact information.

Nope, they are yellow. Look at my side marker and eyelids. The color is almost correct maybe a little more yellow in person. 3K HID is what's in my fogs.

myinternetsucks, can you post instructions/DIY on how to fit the HID to the foglight housing? I don't get it with the drilling part. I found out that the HID kit was not plug and play when I bought a kit few months ago. I really want to have HID foglights.

thanks

Fit the H7 in, and then drill a hole in the rear of the fog and insert the rubber washer and cables. The ballasts need to be attached to something metal.

To get to the fog light: use a torx to remove the lower grill and if your hands are not too big, you'll be able to detach the foglight cables. And with a torx you can also remove the whole housing.

There's a typo... For sport models, you need an H7 kit, but you might be able to retro much bigger bulbs. I am just saying it since I was able to have a D2S projector retrofitted for my H7 halogens...

Uniform color shading on all front lights I look best to me, but it's very hard to accomplish. You can get close, but just slightly off. Contrasting colors is a safe route to go and also looks good with the yellow fogs.
