I have trying to find threads regarding installation of rear camera and tripping the COMAND system so that I can watch DVDs while driving...

Can anyone tell the me best way to make this happen...

I don't think it's something you can do without a kit. If you do a search for VIM or midcityengineering, it should explain what you need to do. Hope that helps.

When getting VIM hooked up and driving and watching a DVD, will you still be able to recieve incomming calls via the bluetooth phone feature?

 

You'd want to confirm with the manufacturer of the VIM you go with, but I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't. When I first got the car, I watch a DVD while sitting in the garage and was able to make/receive calls. Just like the radio/sat/cd/memory card, it will pause when you use the phone.
