I was told pricing depends on your car (ie: 2-dr, 4-dr, huge SUV, etc), and if you want the windshield done or not. Give him a call! Salvador's shop isn't much to look at, but MAN does his crew do a good job! He used to do tints for a huge MB dealership here until MB decided to go cheaper (with an inferior product). He also tints for Lambo and a few other exotic cars as well. Celebrities come in to have their tint done too. Perfect Window Tint was the shop recommended to me by my friend, and I've seen this company mentioned very favorably on other MB forums as well.
No pics yet (I'll take some when I have time), but in reality, it's really not that much different than the blue-tinted stock E-Class windows. Just imagine your windows, with a very slight shade of gray (I mean so slight you don't even know the windows are tinted). That's how light 60% is... and the legal limit for CA is 70% for front windows... how useless is that?
imo they look very nice... clean... but i do think 20% would have been a good choice as well... a lot more privacy... 35% you can pretty much see into unless it's dusk.

OK, so I just got around to taking some pics! (Although IMO the pictures don't do the tint or the cars justice... but at least you get the idea.)
The white E350 has Ceramic 40 all around (except windshield). The grey E350 has Ceramic 60 all around (except windshield).
Ceramic 40 seems to be a little bit darker than 60 from the inside (naturally). Personally speaking, Ceramic 40 is very comfortable for daytime driving (especially in bright CA sun), and keeps the car very cool... but may be a touch dark for nighttime driving (perhaps I haven't gotten used to it yet... Ceramic 40 + auto-dimming mirrors = very dark). From the outside, Ceramic 40 looks very cool and is very dark (although people can still see you from the outside).
Ceramic 60 looks like virtually NOTHING is on your glass (just a slight hint of tint on it), so it lets in more light during the daytime (inside of the car looks "normal" color instead of like you're wearing sunglasses all the time). It can get a little bright during a sunny day with the pano roof rolled back (you'll still want to wear your sunglasses while driving in CA), but during the night I find it's very comfortable to drive (auto-dimming mirrors + Ceramic 60 = perfectly fine for night driving).
Both block UV, solar radiation, infrared light (and ultimately heat) in the car very well. Both Ceramic 40 and 60 block 99.9% UV. Ceramic 40 blocks more infrared and total solar radiation than Ceramic 60, so the car stays cooler with that tint. All in all, I'd say that Ceramic 40 keeps the car a good 3-5 degrees cooler compared to Ceramic 60 when parked under the sun for 9 hours, but both do a very good job. Privacy-wise, Ceramic 40 does a better job than Ceramic 60 (obviously), but IMO Ceramic 60 is good for people who don't want that "tinted" look on their car or to take a chance with "illegal" tint (explained in the "Notes" below), but still want the heat rejection properties of the Huper Optik Ceramic line. (Cops will NEVER give you a ticket for Ceramic 60... because it literally looks like you have NO TINT on your car!)
When it comes to Huper Optik, only certain authorized companies are allowed to use this brand of tint. Perfect Window Tint, Inc. is one of 2 companies in SoCal (that I've found) that is authorized to install Huper Optik (the other one is in LA somewhere). If you don't like Huper Optik, they also are authorized to install other brands of tint as well, such as V-Kool and Wincos (both of which is reportedly very good as well).

NOTE: CA laws also regulate that the front 2 side-windows cannot be tinted to more than 70%, thus technically it's "illegal" to put Ceramic 40 (or even Ceramic 60) on your front side-windows (although most people with tinted cars in CA do this anyway). However, most people say that as long as cops are able to see you through your windows when they pull you over, then you shouldn't have a problem. On the other hand, I've also heard that you can get a "fix-it" ticket for your tint if the cop feels like giving you one (if one is having a bad day, etc), so tint your front side-windows in CA at your own risk!
NOTE2: In the 2 pictures looking through the glass, the blue tint is because of the Mercedes-Benz AMG 321 Sports Package blue-tinted windows, not because of the actual tint. I don't have any non-blue-tinted windows to show you, but when/if you do visit Perfect Window Tint, Inc., ask Salvador to show you the "WOW box" demo... it will really blow your mind, and educate you on the difference a quality tint makes (like Huper Optik) compared to a cheap brand (like Global) or generic heavy tints (like traditional "limo" tint).

I was on my way to a party, doing about 40-50km/h, and a motorcycle cop came along on he oncoming traffic lane and he made a u-turn. At first I thought he just wanted to pass, but nope....
Anyway, as he had me pulled over knew why he pulled me over. after his spiel he gave me the option to start peeling the tint of my window or to go to a service center and have the car inspected bumper to bumper. I think he was surprised when I choose for the latter. Anyway he gave me a $109 ticket and 30 days to get the tint removed.
Now I dont know whether I should get something like 70% in the front or just leave the front "natural" and the back with the 50%. Just looks weird IMO to have half of the car tinted.
Is there such a thing as tinted mercedes glass? or tinted aftermarket glass?

I love it with the white (though slightly different from arctic white). Perfect shade. You can still see through a bit so cops may not give you a hard time during the day. I doubt they'd bother at night... can't see through most tints then anyway.
