35% window tint

Does anybody have pictures of it?

And is it easy to see through during the day?

I want it on all windows but the front windshield, of course.

Thanks!

is yours a special kind? It seems more reflective than the other ones, and it looks REALLY nice

and is it still easy to see out of at night/dark places?

Nope. Just the Formula 1 ceramic tint. I think it depends on the light and angle when the picture was taken. I see out find without any issue at night.

I would not do any tint job at the dealership. Mine is from LA Tint. Mention your area and I am sure you will get recommendations from forum members that are in your area.

btw, remember that with a black interior... your 35% tint will look much darker as compared to a car with for example a light grey interior. Also depends on the day... 50/35 is a pretty good combo, had it on my last car.

Yeah I know what you mean. I guess if I get troubled with them, I will remove them and leave the back ones on. I hope I don't run into this problem. The shop I went to has 50, 40, 35, 20, and idk what other lower ones. I wish I could go lower, but the 35s do the job IMO. I just hate how the car looks unfinished without tints.

do you think I should get regular tints, or the ceramic one that is more reflective (like who8888 has), on a white car? (c350)

I like the ceramic's reflectiveness, but it might not look as good on a white car...and you can't really 'try out' tints :P

Is it only me or is 35% a waste of money because once the sun hits it, it really doesn't stop much of the light and looks really light on the car....

I think its you. You sure you are not say 50%? I would say my tint cuts down on the light quiet a bit. However, the biggest benefit is achieve during the summer, it cuts down on the heat inside my car. I no longer have to get into a piping hot car. I think it also helps out on fading inside the car but that is just me.

whats the point of getting 50% ,you can barley see the shade and it does not block sun at all. I have had 5% all around on my E class , its the way to go, just my opinion.

Well, 50% (or even 60%) can do a fine job IF you get the right tint! I have Huper Optik Ceramic 60 all around my car (except windshield) since in CA the maximum tint on the front side windows is 70% and I wanted the appearance of staying legal so I wouldn't attract attention at LAX and other areas with extremely high populations of police (yes, at LAX they will pull you over for tint if you're unlucky). I don't like uneven tint around the car (front windows 70%, the rest of the car 40%, or something like that), since IMO that looks tacky, so that limited my choices. Ceramic 60 does a fine job in keeping the car cool in CA heat, and has the appearance of being very clear (just a hint of tint). Of course, Ceramic 40 or 30 is better at solar energy and infrared light rejection (maybe about 10%-20% better), but they may attract unwanted attention from CA police as well...

EDIT: I would say realistically speaking, parking outside in 100% sun on a VERY sunny CA day (about 90F outside) for 9 hours straight with the Pano Moonroof Shade OPEN, NO windshield sunvisor, and Rear Power Shade DOWN, the interior of my car reaches only about 82F with Ceramic 60 (that's what it FEELS like). The black seats and doors are never burning hot (as would happen in my previous non-tinted car). The dash would get hot because I didn't tint the windshield (but I have a reflective windshield sunvisor for that). Ceramic 40 keeps the interior noticeably more cool than Ceramic 60, but only by about 3-5 degrees or so (that's what it feels like). Running the AC for 2-3 minutes on 2 or 3 notches fan speed will make the temperature inside be a comfortable 72 again. Running the AC full blast will probably take 30 seconds or so (but I don't know since I've never needed to try it).

Stop posting all those nice tints! It's another thing which is forbidden... We may only tint rear and back windows not side/front
