What kind/size memory card works with the MM package?
I'm sure it's listed in the manual...but I'm lazy and don't feel like goin outside to check...it's coooooold! lol

I believe as big as you can find. There must be a limit on the PCMCIA interface but it probably is far beyond the memory card capabilities. So far I've seen members using 32 GB cards.

You don't have to go out to read the manual, you can browse the Euro manual on-line too.

I bought a pqi compact flash pcmcia adapter and a 32 gig compact flash card off ebay, works fine.

Oh okay...thanks alot guys. About how many songs can you fit on a 32gb card? Also can you the car detect and navigate thru different subfolders on the card (different folder for diff genre of music for example) or do they all just get loaded onto one big file?

I don't know if that PCMCIA is right for high storage cards. I would try to find an SD PCMCIA instead of CF as SD cards are alot cheaper.

You can only get 2 or 4gigs (can't remember which) out of an SD card and PCMCIA Adapter...

You need a SDHC card and SDHC PCMCIA Adapter that is compatible or a CF card and CF PCMCIA Adapter.

Yea I didn't think they were gonna be that expensive...glad to hear there are less expensive options...

How many songs fit on a 32gb card? What about an 8 or 16gb?

each song is about 5~7mb. so do the math.
i'm using 16gb SDHC with SDHC PCMCIA, and it works like charm.

Uhmmm...how many mb are in a gb???

lol just kidding. Thanks for the info man

Edit: Damn one more question lol. Did a search for the SDHCs and came up with different classes...mainly class 2 and class 4. Also saw Type 1 and Type 2. What's the difference? WHich do I need?
