compact flash to pcmcia adaptors should be available everywhere. BB And staples, etc. Peronsally, I would probably just go with meritline or something like that.

Nope...tried Best Buy, Staples, and a big computer store and nobody has the PCMCIA adapter cards...hell they didn't even know what I was talking about...had to bring in the owners manual to show them.

Guess I just have to order them on Ebay

staples sells them on their website, so does ritz camera, amazon.com, and bhphotovideo probably about other stores. Bestbuy.com list one on their website, maybe it isn't in their store. They start at about 6$ and go up to about 15$. If one is happier buying them on ebay - great.

try doing a froogle search for compact flash adaptor pcmcia - it will yield about 200 results from 1$-25$

Personally, I use the kingston and sandisk ones, they used to be free with CF purchases.

Does the card and adaptor fit completely into the dash...or does it stick out?

With the CF, it's flush with the dash panel. But, if you don't want it to auto-play, it's best to push the ejector button a tad so it sits just proud of the dash. That way you can push it in when you want, and elsewise it's there at the ready.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered them off EBay. I really wanted to buy them from a local store to save on shipping time...but nobody even knew what I was talking about. All the ones I could find on EBay are in Hong Kong...so it's going to take 7-14 days for delivery.

$18 for the PCMCIA Adapter
$20 for an 8gb SDHC card (also includes a USB adapter for the SD card)
Free shipping on both

And now I wait...

Nobody replied to this question earlier...

I made several folders on the SD card for different genres of music. Will the different folders show up on the screen when I insert the card into the dash...or will it just show all the songs in one folder.

I got the SD card I ordered but still waiting on the PCMCIA adaptor...in case people r wondering why I don't go outside and find out myself lol

Yes. PCMCIA card for CF cards is easy to find and there is no limitation of what size CF card you can attach to it.

I have an IBM CF PCMCIA card reader * which btw is kinda of old and right now using 4GIG CF card with it. I work in IBM so found the CF card read in me lab

PCMCIA CF card reader is a better and easy option then PCMCIA SD or SDHC card reader. PCMCIA SDHC card reader is not easy to find anyway.
