The overall diameter of the bulb is wider than the opening in the housing.
I'll measure the opening this weekend.

If that is possible, I would be willing to spend a nice chunk to get the look. Wasn't the pic taken with them just taped on or photoshoped???

I'm not really sure... I'm working with a retrofitter for an s200 projector headlamps on the w204... Once that's done, he'll let me know how he wants to proceed with the eyelids ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Will post some updates once we get that far...![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I like that look of a LED strip in the eyelid. I saw some strips on ebay but not sure how bright they would be or how I'd get them in there securely. Nice mod if it can be done without disassembling the entire housing.
As someone mentioned above, it seems most white LEDs produce light in the 6-8K range which IMO would be too blue, especially in the eyelids as they seem to make whatever light you put in there somewhat blueish. I think 4.5-5K would be ideal. Maybe after someone wrecks their new Audi I can salvage the LEDs out the headlights.

Oh well...my Polargs came in today and just got them in. The color is better but I have to say I am really disappointed with the output...you really sacrifice Lumens for K temp. Anyhow, now that my eyelids are much cleaner(less yellow), I am going to have to replace my headlights with a higher K bulb....or go back with my stock eylid bulbs.
Anyone know what the K temp is on the Polarg M4s?

I am sure the LEDs are better so now I am debating what to do with the headlights and the fogs. If I stick with Polargs or even make the jump to LEDs, I will have to match things up or risk looking like a retard...
Based on the amount of light I seemed to have lost from the Polargs, I think it may be like driving around in the dark with "Cool Blues" or something similar for my headlights..."better to look at but not look with"
Looks like I may stay stock until I have some time to do a little more research on headlights and fogs.

Compares to Polargs
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
i've tried those bulbs and its the exact same color as polargs but these are a tad brighter...no error message..i've only tried them on the footwells vanity mirrors and glovebox...so far they work fine and 1/4 of the price for M4's

that's a great price...I ordered a set just to play around with. It's like chump change. Probably only use to replace interior lights as I'm pretty set on exterior, but I'll toss them on all the exterior parts to see how they work and if they throw errors for curiosity sake.
