Wow speechless!!
They must have known there were no lock nuts. i.e.: they surely must have scoped it out prior. Who the **** ventures into a garage without knowing exactly what they'll be up against.
I'm glad you're back on the road with the right wheels.

Guys - is it optional on the W204 to have the "towing/lifting alarm"? I know on my w203 and the R171 they both have it - scared the crap out of myself trying to change a tire last time!
Also, locking nuts only slows people down, but are still a good idea - and I'd seriously consider trying to get some better security watching your car - guy from work had his wheels stolen, replaced, and stolen again a week after he got the car back. The cops said "oh, yeah - happens a lot - they know you are going to get new rims..."

Glad you're back up and running. Sorry you had the bad experience.
Any folks have recommendations re. what kind of locks to buy for our wheels? Are they all the same or is there a significant quality difference?

Sorry to hear about your wheels..
Lock nuts might slow down the thieves a bit, but I'm sure they can still open with the right tools.
I went in for tires once with lock nuts on my car and had forgotten the key, the tire store had them off in a matter of minutes without using the correct key. They actually make tools to remove any of them so I'm sure thieves can get them.
