Is on the 2009 versions? In Canada, the 2009 versions don't have them...


Anybody know when they are announcing the feature/stats for the 2010 C?

They are on 2009s here in Egypt and you're not missing much because they look like crap. I prefer the old ones.

I know, I like the look of the old ones, but ppl say they caused a lot of wind noise... thats probably why the fixed them

I read elsewhere on the forums where someone was claiming that the factory was installing the new mirrors beginning with November production. So depending on date of manufacture, not all 09's would have them. Since I can't recall anyone reporting having seen a North American C with the new mirrors, the above claim is suspect. I would guess they might show up on 2010 models.

My new C will be from January production, arriving late March - we'll see...

Ordered My C in Dec. Arrived Feb with the old ones. Dealership told me in March they would start using the new mirrors on the new builds. Went in to complain about the wind noise, they said they will come out with a fix for em. Honestly, its so quiet in the cabin, you can't really hear anything unless is really windy outside.

I've also read about the wind noise around the old mirrors but never heard actually heard it ! Only noises I heard were faint rattles coming from the sunroof and the lower part of the driver door.

lol,I probably wont be bothered by it either, my camry (new generation) has tons of wind noise

The new mirror is also slightly smaller than the prior air brakes installed on the 07-08 models

Unfortunately they don't work properly as air brakes. A proper air brake can lie in close to the body while you want to be moving, and can be extended outward to catch air and slow the car when you want to stop. Cool.

Have you tried folding the mirrors when the car is up to speed? Doesn't work. Dang. No air brakes.

But you do get permanent drag ...

I actually like these new mirrors with the white car. I like the old ones with the black color though. I want white, so it doesn't matter to me :P

This is the new style mirrors that will end up on almost every new MB model, for example the face lifted SL, the new W212 and the GLK has them.
