Korean display

I have a friend who drives 08 c300 with mm package. when he plays mp3 cd with korean song in it, command system can display the Korean without breaking them into squares.

But my 08 c350 with no mm package cannot display Korean at all and keep breaking them into squares.
is it a simple software upgrade? or is it the difference between mm package and non mm package? If so, can I upgrade my non mm package to that real time traffic nav then it will display? anyone know?

thanx in advance

I can answer only one of your questions. your problem is due to "difference." Upgrading does not help and I am not sure even any software upgrade related to it.

Hope to get an answer to your second question.

Ok I can answer this for you. I have many korean songs and they display fine in MM package, NAV screen. NOT on the odometer, tho.
Use the Memory card to store the music and play, it will work fine.
PCMIA, or something.

It's PCMCIA, and if you have non MM, it worn't display Korean, whatever you do(Unless you can get OEM MM package installed).
