HID question adn help
So I just bought a HID kit From DDM Tuning. I bought it in 55w because that was what was referred to me to disable the warning since a 35w kit would trigger the warning.
My problem is the lights work fine while the engine is off and I get no warning but when I start the engine and accelerate a little the HIDs both shut off. Once they shut off I get the bulb error out warning. My guess is since the 55w kit requires more power would that be the cause?
I'm thinking of exchanging for a 35w kit with the error code eliminator.
Has anyone had any problems similar to mine?
Or if you've bought HID's with no problems from a seller could you please refer me to where you got it from and what type of kit, 55w or 35w with code eliminator?
Thanks!

You also needed to purchase the warning code eliminator...

Post some pictures of what the light output looks like after the install (ie. against a wall to see the light pattern of an after market H7 hid kit + stock halogen projectors)

The thing is I don't think that would help. I have the 55w kit now which doesn't require the warning eliminator and I just got off the phone with the guys at DDM and they told me both kits run at 6amps.
So I'm assuming I'm not getting enough power on startup while the car is running. I was told maybe running a relay harness (Direct power from the battery) would help in this situation or upping the fuse for the headlights by 5.

^^ there are a few guys with the 55w kit that didn't need the error cancellers... but a greater number had to get the warning code eliminator to get it to work right! same symptoms that you were experiencing...
mercedes & chryler both have super sensitive temperaments when installing aftermarket hids.

You guys all have them in 55w?
I just tried to run a relay as well and no luck. Bulbs will turn on and turn off within a second. I don't wanna order the canceler and have the same issue. Its weird though as 55w is the standard on mercedes. My old kit was a 55w kit and it worked fine till about 4 months later it just stopped working.
I have the worst luck with HIDs
