Hi folks
Just been out for a test drive of the 220Cdi, very nice indeed, but i'm wondering what is the difference between that engine and the 200??? They are both 2.2 and there is no mechanical changes, so is it just the management system?
Been looking at tuning firms and they can up the 136 bhp from the 200 to 170 bhp and up the 170 bhp from the 220 to 200bhp. So why, if nothing else is different, can't you up the 200 units power to 200bhp???
After researching this on the net i've found that merc also do a 250Cdi which is the same engine again, but comes with 200bhp as standard. So clearly the 2.2 engine can take the extra grunt.
Any ideas????
