I just picked up my car yesterday, and the black cable doesn't charge my iphone, but allows for control for phone and on screen playlist.

Charging iPhone
I have a 2007 GL450 and 2008 C350 both with Premium package and iPod connection (with white connector). I purchased an adaptor from Ridax (http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/connector.htm) and I am now able to charge my iPhone through the white connector. Cost me less than $30. Right after I placed the order I found a similar connector Amazon for $19.99. I didnt gain any more control over the iPhone and I still get the message saying it was not made for iPhone but I can change the songs and it charges.

Does anyone have the iphone integration cradle installed? Does it work well?
Do you miss the storage that you would normally have if you didn't have it installed?
Do they redirect the ipod integration cable that is in the glove compartment for this install? (Can you have both an ipod and iphone hooked up?)
About how much did it cost?
