I just finished this and I freaking love it. There isn't a note of raspy on my C350 either, thanks for the reassurances Frank! I'll post videos tomorrow when it's not election day here so I can do a proper drive-by without all the polling center traffic.

Hey VFORCE09, Did you have a Magaflow installed or did they make one for you? What was the total cost breakdown?

Ive done it at a random shop sounds good for $75 plus i deleted my mufflers and put straight pipes vid is below, now some people asked if you loose power you loose a little torque but gain horsepower and also if you feel like you lost a lot of toque after the mod dont worry its your ECU that was reset it just needs some time to come back thats all it hapened to me im living proof lol

What did you have installed? Magnaflow or shop-made xpipe? How much for the whole job?

And hopefully my last question: is the x-pipe all I will need or are there any additional fittings I need to pre-order before I go to the shop?

2008 C350 Benz, GLA250 4matic
I have a seat 350 with the X pipe and no mufflers I'm about to get headers installed next week, I also have the quad tip set up that I went for aftermarket tips and that actually made my car a little bit louder I'm afraid after I remove two of the cats and put on the headers it will be way too loud is there any recommendations for making it a little bit less quieter, I don't want it to be very quiet I just wanted to tone it down a little bit especially after headers and secondary cat removal. I have heard some talk about putting on a glass pack but wouldn't that just change the note and not make it any quieter? I want to try and stay away from mufflers. Because I love the sound now I just need to be able to control it a bit

No warranty is affected as long as you don't touch the cats, And Just ex pipe alone doesn't do much unless you want something very very subtle, I recommend the X w/o mufflers and MAYBE a pair of glass packs if u want it with a rumble and No mufflers if you want it loud...just my POV and I know some in riverside Who won't jip you bc you're in a Benz... If it's worth the drive and price for you probably about 60-80 bucks out here. It's called Rico's muffler, hole in the wall but great work and honest work. I own a repair shop and have done business with them for years.

Does it matter if the extender pipes are in front or in back? Where did you have yours done?

The weight loss from a Xpipe install is roughly 10 lbs. This site ( http://solo-performance.com/hardware-accessories) has cross pipes and resembles the magnaflow style as well. Any shop can cut out the resonator and replace it with the X pipe. There is no loss in power.

Warranty is never effected unless it can be proven as a direct result of that change.

MAGNUSON MOSS WARRANTY ACT
US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) . For best results, consider working with performance-oriented dealerships with a proven history of working with customers. If your vehicle manufacturer fails to honor emission/warranty claims, contact EPA at (202) 260-2080 or www.epa.gov. If federal warranty protection is denied, contact the FTC at (202) 326-3128 or www.ftc.gov. For additional information, check out the following links:

You are going to fail emissions...just letting you know ahead of time so I hope you have someone that can trick the system.

You are practically removing the full exhaust system including all the clean air components.
