X-Pipe Mod for C350

Hey, I REALLY want to get X-Pipes on my car and I have seen a youtube video of this guy with X-Pipes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I021FyD91NI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_IAB...eature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I9iC...eature=related

my only concern is am I going to lose horsepower or torque?? and if so how much??? Would i notice the change? Last of all is it worth it if I do lose the power??

Just noticed that the user is FrankW. He's active on these forums

X-pipe should not get you any loss in torque or power.

Intakes? I didn't think there were any aftermarket intakes out for the W204?

A good muffler shop that carry MagnaFlow parts should be able to get an X-Pipe for you, they might even have one in stock. the shop I took my car to in Miami had the X-pipe in stock...

there's no room to add the x-pipe without deleting the resonator.

The resonator is essentially an x-pipe with a bit of baffeling.

gets me from point A-B
do you gain any performance by deleting resonators and using X-pipes? or do you jus get a better sound?

You only have one resonator in the system. It brings both exhaust streams together and effectively merges the combustion pulses from each seperate bank's exhaust to make one balanced smoother flowing exhaust then splits them again...for looks mostly. I doubt adding an x-pipe will affect performance much as our resonator is pretty wide open as it is. With that said, it is hard to know how much the baffling on the inside walls of our resonator disrupts the exhaust flow so, depending on x-pipe design, you may get some improvement. You also will get more of a raw exhaust sound. I personally decided not to go with the x-pipe as I want a deeper but not raspier sound.

raspy only for the 300 350 brings the sound closer to a 350Z or G37.
