You've come a bit late to the party haven't you?

Owned a lot of Hondas in my lifetime.. none had "gobs of torque"..

Does the GLK350 feel like it has nice amount of torque off the line? Yes! Does the C350 feel nice? yes!.... The Accord V6 6MT is Quick and very torquy off the line (quicker than the C350), i've owned plenty of Honda's, also VWs, Acura's, BMWs to base my judgements... have you driven an Accord with the V6 and MT?....compare the engine specs of the Honda 3.5 to the MB 3.5, almost identical..... ah well, biased closed minded comments never fail to make laughs...

C230 you have?

Noob. Apparently you didn't read on past the C230 to see that I also have a 135i. Now that car has torque.

Yes, PEAK numbers on the M272 and J35 are "nearly identical". So? Here's where they differ dramatically:

M272 - Peak torque (258lb-ft) available from 2400rpm to 5000rpm
J35 - Peak torque (254lb-ft) not available till 5000rpm

It's how much torque is available before peak (aka under the curve) that is important when you compare such closely matched (in terms of HP and TQ) cars. The Benz has torque much sooner. I'm glad you like your Accord, as I liked all 5 of mine. Sporty, or torquey, they were not, however. Which is good considering they stick with FWD.
