ipod/Media interface - option 518, why can't we get the part number to order!

ipod/Media interface - option 518, why can't we get the part number to order!
Ok, lets all stop this foolishness and get what we want for our cars!!!
We all want the newer and better ipod/mp3 media interface (UCI) for cars with command. We want to see our ipod media on the command and control it as we would our ipod. All the rest of the world has it, and now the GLK has it too; but only as factory installed option!!!!!
Why is Mercedes denying us this. Don't they want to make some money? Does it have to do with paying royalties to Apple?
Mid-City engineering as good as they are, want us to pony up 1300 dollars for it. As an option it only costs 350 dollars installed, so 1000 over priced. As a good friend of mine would say: "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered..." So I say lets write to Mercedes Benz of North America and request that they add this feature.
