Does a 16" rim fít the 350?

I was thinking about upgrading my front brakes with 350 ones,
I have ordered the car with the twin spoke 18" AMG so no problem there, but I also need wheels for the winter season.

Will a OEM 16" rim fit the 350?

OEM here in the US is 17, but i think the spare tire is like 15" so i dont see why a 16" wheel wont fit.

I think its more important to get thinner tires (for better snow/sleet/ice conditions) than the actual diameter of the wheel itself.

I'm confused. Your sig claims that you are a MB tech. Don't you have the ability to verify fitment and then report back to the membership?

NO.

A 16" wheel will NOT clear the brakes of the C350; they are that much larger than those on the rest of the line. Will fit fine on a C300 / C280 / C220 etc. [or the Canadian C230, which actually comes with 16" as OEM].

With the C350 brakes, 17" is the smallest you'll want to go with.

(And the doughnut spare for a C300 / C280 is NOT 15", but 16", incidentally. For a C350, it's 17". All in the owner's manual.)

Thing is that the 350 is very rare here in Sweden, so I cant try the setup out for myself, when checking both WIS and EPC, 16" rims are available for the 350 but they have been wrong before.

My C 180K T will arrive late April and I want to arrange as much as possible before it arrives.
And yes, I have worked at a MB dealership almost 8 years now

For the C350, the question is "what happens if a rock gets caught up by the caliper? Will it damage the wheel?"

For the C300, it should be less of a problem because the front caliper is smaller diameter.

Right?

Right?

Sure it will scratch the wheel if the stone is the right size but hardly cause any permanent damage.

Right?
Look around. Most cars have very close clearances.

"Very close" in this case means that the wheel weights are clearing the front calipers by something on the order of 1-3 mm, tops, depending on the placement and brand of the weights. Too close for my taste, but I was very interested to see that it can work at all.

For ANY model other than the C350 [C300, 280, 220, 200, 180 etc] it's a non-issue - the 16" wheel fits with lots of room to spare.

What are the ETs for the 16" wheels? I'm thinking they're 43s? Will 42s work?

The ones I tried was ET43 ,
ET42 would mean 1mm further outward, this will work.
