its an 08 C300 4matic palladium sil with blk leather, MM, pano roof, tel aid, and P2 with 3900 miles and CPO with 5yr 100k, got it for 36,000+ tax for around 39 after everything, just wanted to get some input, i know it was a decent deal, but do you think it was good. Thanks in advance for your thoughts guys

Well, if you want to work the content walk back down, my 09 C300 Sport 6 speed (rwd) with MB Tex, Ipod connectivity, and P1 package was $32k, with the dealer discount, so see if the math makes sense to you.

You got a used C300 for $39k? Isn't that what new ones are going for too?

Go to carsdirect and check out the new car price with same equipment, then go to kbb and price out your car at private sale price..
These 2 sites should give you a pretty good idea if you made a good deal or not..

39k for used '08 seems a little high to me, sorry to say but u may have been able to get the same deal if not better on an '09. i got the same deal as sportstick on my 6spd, I just waited till the last day of the month/quarter to get the best deal.

well i got a p2 vs ur p1, an extra $1350, i got awd 4matic vs ur 6speed, an extra $1460, leather vs mb txt, $1570, a pano roof so an extra $1050, tela aid, 650, oh and the mm which is $2980 which totals $9060 in extra options minus ur $375 ipod to $8685, and Metallic Palladium Silver but i going to assume u might have metallic paint as well but if not its $760, im assuming u paid 32k without taxes so in essence u paid around 35k give or take for practly a bone stock C300 and for $4k more i got nearly every feature u could get that costs over 9k. Now yes urs is an 09 vs an 08 so yes urs might be worth a bit more than mine due to that but in the long run the options will probably outweigh the one year in terms of resale value, but thats not what the topic is about, its about getting a good deal on the car. So in essence in urs vs mine i pretty confident i got a great deal on the car.

ok so was it $32k with taxes or without? cuz im finding it hard to believe you paid $29k for a brand new C300.

The point is that you paid 39K for a used car, when new cars are going for virtually the same price. At least yours is fully loaded though.

Look at the invoice price because that's what new cars are going for. I Got fully loaded GLK for 43.5k even tho sticker says 47.5, and this is 4 month old model. Can prolly get new C-class for 1k under invoice. Plus you get lower apr with new car purchse.

but isnt that the point? yeah there getting it for 32k but there usually bone stock with no extras and with tax u add an extra 3k for any car anywhere in the us which makes it 35k, i mean u guys gotta compare apple to apples here, and i know for a fact most dont add in tax when they state how much they payed, if i said 36k fully loaded would that be diff? and as for new cars it only had 3900 miles, dealer car, not actually owned by anyone, is it really that bad

Great! ....you should feel good about having a wonderful car....don't torture yourself looking for a reason for buyer's remorse!! Relax and enjoy your decision and new possession.

Just FYI, tax on $32,000, my purchase price, where I live, is $1920.

I think you got a good deal, your car priced out to be about $36k according to KBB's private sale value and a new one would be about $42k before tax and fees..
The best deal I have seem were from last November when the economy was bad and MB was offering cash incentives..
A couple guys got full loaded C350 with simlar equip as you for about $36k OTD...
Don't think we will see deal like that again though...

well invoice is 30,597 and 1k under that is 29,597 but it still cost 9k+ with extras on my car to total it out to 38,597 before taxes if you got it brand new with 1k under invoice.

Consider you guys lucky...I live in SF Bay Area and my county (Alameda) has new tax rate of 9.75%.....
Here is the link to the post of the deal I was talking about...looks like his didn't have leather and MM but $36K OTD was correct

Its OK....just be content with what you think and don't let other people's thoughts determine your happiness....you don't have to prove anything...if you believe you have a good deal....enjoy and have a great life!

Yeah, I think I got a good deal on my C300 too
I paid $28K plus tax/fee for my steel gray 2008 C300 CPO with 12K miles on it..mine only has P1, Pano & TeleAid..
Consider yours is 4Matic which is $1,500 more, Leather +$1,500, MM +$2,800, P2 +$1,200 & 8K miles less (another +$1,000)
That add up to $36K...if yours is CPO, then it defintely is a really good deal...
