Thats not a problem for me. I just wanted to know that have anyone done this before because I really wanted to see pics how it looks with the tints on.

I used the tint version in the past and loved them. They seem to have a purpleish tint once they are installed. I was planning on ordering the gunsmoke color this time. Installation took about 30-45 minutes and is very easy of you follow the directions. Don't use too much water and don't trim too much excess off of the edges. The films seem to shrink after a couple of weeks as they cure and they shrink about 1/4"-1/2". I think they add an aggressive look to the lights and I got tons of compliments on them.

OK....I'll admit it....I didn't get the whole matte vinyl wrap look, and now I'm just wondering why would anyone want less light coming from their headlamps? I clean mine to be sure dirt doesn't cut down on output and you want to put a darker-than-clear filter on???.....be honest....is this a generational thing?

in the day time it gives the car a darker look... and to be honest what do you want head lights for when the sun is out?
and in the night... HID's will shine right through such a light tint like there nothing is there...
it could be a generational thing you're right... maybe you should look into lasik?
i kid...

LOL!! Actually, the only thing I can't quite see sharply is the reason for darkening a headlamp!! Physics being what it is, although you may still see the HID shining, the delivered lumens must be reduced, although maybe or maybe not a significant amount, I must admit....haven't measured The idea just seems counterproductive, but I find myself saying "to each his own" a lot as I see what people are willing to do just to find some uniqueness! Tint On!!

I ordered some Gunsmoke tint for both head light and tail light. I build a lot of models (Gundam) and always apply waterslide decals with a lot of patience...so I guess it won't be too difficult to put these tint on.

What you guys say tint or gunsmoke?
I cant decide between those two
Still thinking what would police say if I put gunsmoke but gunsmoke gives very agressive look I think

How the headlights will look once we remove after an year or more? Will it damage the shine?
Off course we will have to remove; as an exterior tint wont be enough shiny after a 6 months time.
Though gunsmoke is much better than tint ...

I do not suggest gunsmoke for ur headlights. U have to remember that it will affect SOME of ur light output, I have the regular tinted, and travel alot of roads, that do not have street lights on them, and the few times i did drive this winter, I did notice a difference.
But not going to say that it would not look good tho!!

The best way to get this look is to pull the headlights, take them apart and spray the exterior housing gloss black and put the clear lense back on. The tint is a very inexpensive way to go and looks ok but kills your light output.
