2009 C300 can take wider tires ?

I have a wheel shop telling me that the 09 can take wider tires than my 08. That the 09 can fit
Rear 275/30/19 Front 245/35/19
Is this true ?

Front Should be ok but i am not sure about the rear. it's really huge for a C class. if they are sure abt it. i guess u should go for it.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Yeah...I once had a wheel shop guy tell me that if I over-inflate T rated tires, they will perform the same as H rated tires.

Be careful. Do your own research. And wheelbase has nothing to do with determining what tire width will work.

I don't know if those sizes will fit, but what an '09 takes, an '08 will take.

there should be NO difference about this; anything that fits on the 09 could just as easily fit on the 08.

Tire shop must be talking about 07 VS 08/09 since 08 and 09 are the same body and 07 is the old body

I will be going 235/40 R 18 front and 255/35 R18 rear on my c300 4matic sport. I bought a set of C63 AMG rims and tires.

Each vehicle is a little different, and its quite possible someone put a wheel and tire package that fit those tire sizes also on a 09 C300.

Generally the wider the tire, the better the performance. I.E. the car can get more power to the pavement. That was the origin of wider tires especially on higher horsepower cars of course. For those that run wider rear tires on rather sublime models like a C300 it is being done for mostly a cosmetic reason. Most average people won't really ever realize the full potential of a wider tire in the rear of their RWD car. Hope that helps...
