where is oil filter located in c300 4 matic. Do i need special tool for removal & reinstallation.

underneath engine cover, that be the plastic piece around the filler neck. give it a good pull and will come off. there is a thread how to remove in here also.

Yes you need a tool. Search/check the oil change threads and the engine cover removal threads. Only the front cover needs to come off.
