Angry Roughness....and Creaks.

After my car has been sitting for a while, and the engine hasn't reached its "optimal" temperature yet, the engine in my car is very rough, tingly, and unrefined. The weird part of it is I notice it mainly at LOW RPMs and when the engine is just off of idle speed, such as in a parking lot. It's really aggravating. Has anyone else felt this? It smooths out quit a bit once it's up to optimal temperature, but it still doesn't feel as smooth as it should no matter the engine temperature. Also, this problem is most apparent when the engine is just warm, but not to normal temperature, and not a completely cold start.

Also, there's a symphony of creaking and popping sounds coming from the dashboard area after the car has been sitting for a while as well. Once I get to driving, I feel like the car has to let out all these creaks for a few miles until everything is settled and back to normal. It seems as if every crack or bump in the road makes SOMETHING creak or pop. This eventually settles down too...but still, has more interior creaks than it should. I find this unacceptable for a car less than a year old with only 9k miles on it.

Does ANYONE else notice either of these problems? Or was my car built late on a Friday by a South African who just wanted to go home??

I've had similar threads do this one a few months ago, but I had to bring it up again...I was really aggravated by it today. I'm taking my car to the dealer in a couple weeks to hopefully get at least the engine remedied.

sounds like a sensor is off, unless its that crappy California gasoline (soon to get worse).

I have 13K miles on my car, its solid as a rock as far as sqeaks and rattles, even though having been driven mostly on poorly maintained NYC roads.

Your car has problems that are not normal - It could well have been built by a South African with a hangover on a Monday morning. Go & crap on the dealer & make them sort it out. Seems you got unlucky & I feel for you.
