Cluster Rattle
I never heard a single rattle inside the cabin on my C230. On the new C300, I have heard a few rattles a couple of times coming from what sounds like the left side of the cluster. As usual it is difficult to pinpoint but if I put my hand on the dash above the cluster it stops. Anyone else have this issue?

the little chrome ring doesn't fit snuggly around the stalk and in its slot so it just jangles around - sounds like i have loose change in my steering wheel.
just tap the stalk and if it rattles that's it

I had a rattle coming from inside the instrument cluster. Turned out to be the chrome gauge rings. They would move around whenever I would drive over rough roads. I dismantled the instrument cluster and super glued the rings in place. No more rattle.
