Under the hood.
It's on the passenger side near the firewall under a cover.

You forgot to mention that the battery is located on the passenger side near the firewall under a cover on NEW and USED c class benz.

If you try to generalize the rule, it does not work completely, there are C-class models with a battery at the trunk, like ours. Your rule likely works if you say "US C-class benz".
