C220 chiptuning

Does anyone know how much we can get power out of C220?
Brabus D3 S kit will boost power up to 220hp / 470Nm.

But I think it's over priced since I can have "normal" chiptuning less half that money what brabus would cost and power is around 210hp / 480Nm.

How much will 210hp / 480Nm effect 0-100 km/h time compared to stock C220?

C220 Chiptuning

I did mine at Ziptuning in the Netherlands. They claim that after chiptuning the engine has following specs: 216 hp (170 hp), 480Nm (400Nm)torque. From 0-100 km/hour takes 7.6 sec instead of 8.5 sec with standard engine. Topspeed (did not test myself) should now be 241 km/hour instead of 229 km/hour. I did not do a Dyno, but I can notice the difference in practice. With the same driving style as before the engine is more economical -8% diesel and has much more power in accelation (max torque is now available at 1850 instead of 2000 rpm) and the accelaration from 80-120 km/hour has very much improved.

Regards,
Dennis

Yeah Ziptuning in Belgium/Holland is currently offering the best numbers. Dyno is available at extra cost. They have a May special 100€ off so that's 499€ total Plus they take over your MB's warranty!

Kempower has a better rep but only offers around 190ps with dyno included but for 800€ excl VAT (+21%). Kempower is VERY reliable and has a lot of customers in Scandinavia and the rest of Europe.

We also have Heinz in Belgium but have heard horror stories about sensors being shut down and turbos breaking down.

Do you think that Ziptuning could send the modded software to here in Finland and my local chiptuning shop could install it? Because in Finland best numbers for C220 are 195hp / 480Nm and price is same 599€

X-pipe? You have a 4 cylinder, so there's no X-pipe

If you order the Brabus you get the 2 silencers (left + right) and the connection pipe (Y-pipe) to your oem exhaust.

Fittment is perfect and they deliver everything in the box.... i have them on my C180K

yep, but I was thinking that if I put it after The Y-pipe and then add X-pipe and then connect brabus silencers

Would that make engine sound better or am I crazy?

A tractor is not something to be proud of LOL. Diesel sounds awful.

Maybe you can send your ECU? Contact them on info@ziptuning.nl

I do not think they will send the software, because they programm directly into your ECU. There is no ECU replacement. Secondly they take over MB warranty so I guess they want to do everything themselves. Their nearest office for you would be Groningen, it would be a nice drive back with your tuned engine. BTW, first 500 km you have to be carefull.

Dennis

Is the the gearing or why not higher top speed? The standard C320CDI does 250.

Which C220 is your car actually? On a 204.002 at least the ECU is located at the engine bay on the right side (passenger side), forward from the firewall.

5 speed ZF gearboxes on the 220 CDI. Go figure why... I don't get it Hell, on a bad day you can hit a gearbox wall at 200kmh. Had it on different 220 CDI's: flooring and not getting past 200kmh it's like it was limited I'm sooo unhappy with this 5 speed transmission

If you go to a local shop you dont have to take it off, they will re-program your ecu by the OBD port.

Or you can get an plug and play box http://www.diesel-power.com/

Contact Steen@kleemannuk.com , he sells the dieselpower products, and he have it on his C220CDI.

Standard 110 kW 150 hp 280 Nm 206 lb-ft
Diesel Power 128 kW 175 hp 327 Nm 241 lb-ft
