Found FRP C63 hood made to fit C300/350

For anyone who is interested. It might be me, but the front doesn't appear to line up well.

The guy who's selling usually is known for taking offers. (Not the BIN price)

Last time I had a hood shipped it was around 80 bucks. Just to give you some ideas. + the hood I had shipped was bigger then the C class hood.

75-125 is about the going rate.

IMO an after market hood shouldn't cost over 600 shipped unless its a higher quality carbon fiber hood.

I think the shipping too much. I posted it just-in-case. A while ago, some people were talking about swapping hoods, but the C63 hood doesn't fit on C300s/ 350s.

the $1500 CF hood from HK is made from a C63 hood and fits on the regular w204. C63 hood will fit on regular 204 and then you can run the oem c63 grille without the gap because the middle part of the hood is slightly lower.

The CF hoods would make me nervous. I think I'd be too paranoid to ever open/close the hood. With my luck I'd probably snap that $1500 hood in half.

The C63 hood is definitely longer (I measured) in the middle than the C350/ C300 hood. For those of us who think the C63 grille is ugly, I guess this is the option. I wouldn't want either. Especially not carbon fiber from Hong Kong. Anyway, there it is. I am done with thread. You're welcome.

I was looking at one at my local dealer recently and not only would you need the grill, but the rest of the lower skirt/cover/bumper as the hood comes down lower on the sides that the regular C300/350 hood from what I saw. But looks can be deceiving?

Why's that? if its $1500.00 it should be a pretty well put together hood, I doubt you'd have any snapping issues. Only thing I'd do is run hood pins.

There's something about CF I really like. I'd only run CF on my Benz if I had a full body kit to match and at that point I'd need some power since I hate having any cars that look fast yet put out little power. Stock C350 just doesn't do it for me. Thankfully I bought my C350 for my daily driver so I don't care =)

nope.

I was messing around at the dealership since i know a sale manager and I was able to take off the C63 grille and slap on the regular 204 grille without changing anything. the 63 hood front part comes down a little lower, but keeps the same shape.
