Luxury grill on C300/350 Sport? Pics?
I installed my spare luxury grill and upright star and I have to admit I really like the more formal look...for a change anyhow. It's funny how having the upright hood ornament makes the car feel about 4 feet longer, a foot wider and a thousand pounds heavier...taking me back to some of my first cars I guess.
Anyhow, my question is for the guys that have painted the louvers on the luxury grills liked MixedFruits car above. Did you pull all the chrome off or just mask everything? I am contemplating going from silver to flat black on the inner louvers but, remembering how much of a PIA it was to remove the chrome on the sport grill, not sure if it's worth the trouble.
Could someone point me to a tutorial on how to change the grille and add the star?
The first time I did, I removed the plastic cover, but once you get used to it there's no need. Just gotta watch out for the T-shaped plastic attached to the grill, as you can't bolt if off unless the plastic is removed (just gotta learn how to snap it on/off the grill).
But for first timer who's unsure of what they're doing, and afraid they'll break something, it might be wise to take the time to remove the plastic. Just sayin'

I have a chance to buy a really nice grill from a 2008-2010 c300. Fit no issue with the older grille on a 2012? Is it just the same except the T-Bar wont be attached?
Thanks
