How do I remove and paint my rear exhaust diffusor?

Well…. It’s a difficult one if your trying to paint the stock diffuser… because its not flat but textured. In addition, you need a bonding primer before paint and clear. It will also more than likely chip easy.
As far as removing it, that’s the easy part. Two 10mm bolts in the middle and two screws on the ends. Then using a flat bladed screwdriver carefully push out the tabs (top of diffuser to bumper from inside/under rear…

It can be painted. It has been done plenty of times. On my last car, the entire bottom of the front and rear bumpers and doors were textured black plastic and I had it all color-mathced. If you go to a good body shop, they will know how to prep and paint it. Since it is not on the front of the car, it should not chip if it is prepped and painted correctly. You can even have the body shop sand the texture off and make it smooth. Since that area does not flex that much, the paint will not need a flexing agent added to it.
