Having driven a C230 for a good amount of time I gotta say i'm kind of gonna miss the C230 badge.

That said though, C250 is much more appropriate and fitting. Means you can be even more proud when someone asks you about your car :p. Just my thoughts...

The C250 CGI in the UK is a 4cyl 1.8l Turbo charged engine, is that the same engine for Canada or just re-badging?

This engine replaces the C280/300 in the UK.

I think there must be some confusion or something.

The C230 was originally a 2.5L V6 producing 201hp and 181lbs-ft of torque. The rebadging just changes it to a C250 to be accurate for displacement. (C300 = 3.0L V6, C350 = 3.5L V6 etc).

In the US there are no CGI engines, and I am not sure Canada has them either.

Europe is different since they have pretty much all the engine options available.

So then, wait for 2011 if I care about the engine?
Although the only thing i really care about is if the c300 will be available with pano roof.
Only the 2009 c350 came with this option.

You have to much power and the roof would explode every time you would stomp on it.

Dang, shattered glass all over the interior!

Say, here's an opportunity for some young buck: produce plastic interior protectors (like seat condoms) to keep that glass from doing damage when it explodes!

Funny! Anyways i was thinking of purchasing a pre-owned 09 c350 with PP which includes a lot of goodies. Only 4500km. It cost's $49,300.00 before tax I believe. This would be my first time buying, and not very experienced, and not sure if I could negotiate since 2010 is coming. Does this sound like a good deal or should i just buy a 2010. This is in Canada btw.

That's a bit high for that mileage. With that price as it is you're basically getting a free Freight/PDI (around 2K) and a free Premium Package. You should knock it down another 3-4 grand to make it worth you a while.

09 C300S 4M
That's a tough one, because that is the going rate for used 09 350's with low mileage.

With that said... a brand new c350 4matic starts at 50, and you can get the 09's for a very nice discount. 350's don't sell nearly as well as 230's and 300's in Canada so the dealership should be able to accommodate you nicely.
