How old are you mercedes owners?
wow. good point. i never saw it like that. very philosophical, kind of like 'if a benz falls in the forest but there's nobody around to hear it...'.
sounds like someone is paying your car note too though...

wasn't trying to start anything, just make the point that we can all drive someone else's car at any age, but all that does is tell people how successful your dad is.
if you come out with 'i'm 23 and i bought this C63 with my own money', then
. that's some intersting stuff, and yes, you actually own that car as you pay for it. but if your parentals are coughing up every month, then who really cares how old you are?!? 17, 27, whatever. your parents are rich enough and trust you with a new benz. you're driving a car someone else pays for, even if you defend the concept as if it's you making out checks to MB every month. boring.
just say 'i'm 18 and my parents bought it for me', unless you're ashamed or embarrassed, which nobody is doing, which just goes to show... it really DOES matter who pays for it, otherwise it wouldn't be an issue, right??
$0.02.
i'll leave you guys to compare your (parent's) pocketbooks. i'm off to drive my old banger... that i paid for in full with cash! brrrrrrrap!

If someone asked my dad "whos black benz is that in the driveway?" I can assure you he'd say "my sons." A gift is a gift..when someone buys you something for a birthday, holiday, graduation, or any other reason..they're giving it to YOU. You are now the owner.
Regardless, I've never been ashamed to admit that my parents for sure enable me to have everything I have. I'm young, in school, and obviously not able to support myself.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
and that's all i'm saying.
I was just trying to make an observation, and I never said anything personal to anyone, but some of you decided to take it there, and I am always glad to oblige.
i'll let you young guns carry on and my apologies for being a wet blanket. congratulations on being able to drive some very beautiful cars, whoever pays for them!
the sarcasm is gettin a bit femine tho... brah
lol @ the nerve tho... saying im getting defensive then multi-quote defending yourself...
smh damn shame.

having a nice car doesn't necessary mean someone is a spoiled brat..spoiled or not has more to do w/ how they act or conduct themselves than what car they drive..
also, there is no need to be offensive if someone asked did your parents buy you the car or you paid for it yourself..
no shame in admitting your parents paid for the car you are driving..actually, be proud b/c your parents believe you are worth it..
All I got were domestics....I was seriously like the only asian in school that didn't have a civic, integra, or prelude.....I guess since we're adding this to the topic....paid the car off in full cash. They wouldn't give me that 1.5% financing, and didn't want to give them the 5-6% APR they were asking for.

My goal was to be buy a MB before I was 25 without any help from my parents. Since I don't believe in financing and would rather pay for something up front, this meant I had to be able to have the money I needed to buy the car outright in my bank account.
For the ones who work to pay their car, no matter if it's lease or finance or fully pay off, just enjoy the car since we are paying it with our hard earned money. For the ones who their parents paid of them, just treasure the car!
^^^ i know exactly what your saying im accually typing this in school right now and a teacher just walked by and was like what are u doing? looking at that mercedes site again? then i hear a mumbled "wish i had a mercedes at 17, spoiled" hahaha i use to let all those haters bother me but now i just laugh at them

Another interesting thing is that in some parts of the world (including the Gulf), the c-class is rare on the streets. People are mostly familiar with the S-class and the E-class to a lesser extent. So when they see a C300 Sport driving by, they are not sure what it is and how much it costs and they might mistake it for a CL or some new Benz they dont know about. This is very true and perhaps not the case in Europe/US where the C-class prevails due to fuel costs and consumer preferences.
But hey to be honest, at 17 you should be grateful to drive a car like that. I am 26 and I bought the car myself. Yet I still get those looks by people, and sometimes that makes me feel like going back to my ****ty *** renault just to avoid the jealousy/hatred/envy that often comes with a luxury car. That is part of life my friend and you gotta learn to live with it!
