Saw that and was tempted....
$620.00 item
+380.00 shipping
+250.00 paint
-----------
$1250.00

Then you add the cost of the fogs and brackets. And the uncertainty of fitment....

Still....very tempting, but with Brabus front spoiler painted around 13-1400, 1200 seems a bit high for a replica.

Is this a replacement for a C63bumper, or is this for our C300's/C350's? (Like a replica?)

Hmm, You know it actually doesn't seem that bad. (even after all the costs). All we would need to buy are the fog lights basically. But if we went the other route and got the OEM C63 bumper we would need quite a few other items. I might give it a shot

OEM is over 2,000 just for the bumper, add in labor/paint that brings you to 3k+

yeah, but then you're guaranteed fitment. We're wanting to see who'll be the one to take the plunge and be the guinea pig for this

Yeah I saw that yesterday. I would think the fitment should be perfect since it was molded for a C300/350

+1, Plus with the OEM C63 bumper, you need to get the fenders, the padding..etc

Yeah but the thing is you if you want to get a lip later on the road. You will have to ask them to make the lip for that specific bumper since the oem bumper and that one is a tad different in width

I like the OE sport bumper, but this might be a decent add-on to balance out a cf rear spoiler and valance. The quality looks questionable though. They aren't functional either.

I'm skeptical on the fit and quality.

Also, it's fiberglass so it's not very durable especially for a front bumper.

What should it be steel, aluminum, CF, ABS?

ABS plastic would be ideal (or whatever kind of plastic is used on the OEM bumper).
Fiberglass is rather brittle and not very flexible, any bump will cause it to crack.

I think usually they are made of thick rubber type material, I've dealt with some fiberglass aftermarket bumpers before and it's not just the overall fitment but mechanic's usually charge more to mount the thing onto the car for some reason just my two cents .... but if someone wants to try ... go for it!! maybe the 5 layers of fiberglass will prove me wrong

i think the 63 and ours use the same foglights. just need different bracket since the location might be a little different.

oem's usually PUR. more flexibility than ABS.

for fiberglass kit you want to get the thickest ones possible and ones that has proven fitment.

my authentic carlsson kit on the 203 is FRP. very thick and durable.

for anything replica I'd stick to PUR or ABS.

I would suspect that the very nature of fiberglass....that you will have fitment problems galore. Too much variation compared to injection molding.

Fitment looks poor, just look at the headlamp washer cutouts. It will need a lot of work to make it look good and fit well IMO. Like everyone else has said, fiberglass is extremely brittle and will crack at the slightest scrape or bump. Best to stick with ABS or PUR like Frank has said, but FRP is a good alternative. Either way, expect to pay a bit for fit and finish.

i wouldn't trust that bumper at all for a few reasons...

1. Quality of the bumper. With alot of aftermarket companies the quality isnt always the best. So the money you save by not buying an OEM part you will be spending at the body shop getting them to correct any impurities or impurfections in the bumper.

2. Fitment. Yes even though it may be molded from a stock bumper it's still an aftermarket part...so chances are it's not going to be a perfect fit. The thing that concerns me about the ad is why don't they have pics of it on an actual C-Class. If they used a stock C-class bumper for the design they must've had a C-Class around they could've used for the pictures. Sure it looks all nice and purty by itself on display but you can't see how it lines up with the fenders/headlights/hood until you see it on the car. For that much I wouldn't be willing to buy it without seeing it on an actual car first.

3. While the C63 bumper looks awesome...I don't think it's THAT much nicer than the stock sport package bumper to spend that much money on it
