CDI battery cable routing

Does anyone have a diagram showing the battery cable routing on a W204 CDI. From what I read the battery is in the trunk on the CDI and the wire would go through a tray under the vehicle to the front. I would like to use the same routing to run an amplifier power wire from the front battery of my gas C300 to the trunk.

Check behind the SAM control unit behind the right cover in your trunk, there you will find all the power you need, that same cable is also fused directly at the battery with a 30A fuse.

Vic, thanks for the answer. The issue is my amp requires a 4G wire fused at 50A. I was thinking of mounting the amp beside the spare tire in what looks like the alternate battery location. If you can find a drawing or IPL showing where the CDI cable runs that would be great.

BTW, I know your upgrading your stereo. I'll take pics of my install. I'm adding a JL Audio Prowedge W6 sub and a 500V2 amp to my HK system.

I was afraid of that. Hope you keep wearing hearing protectors.

But the car should have a 16 mm2 cable from the front pre-fuse box to the rear SAM, with a 150A fuse. Another wire with a 40A fuse. Not necessarily good to run 40A out of that wire when there are other consumers too.

Now you really peaked my interest, are you saying you believe the battery cable is in the car running from front to back and not being used?

Not unless it's a diesel model.

I'm not talking about the battery cable but the one feeding the rear SAM from the front. After all, a good wire needs to come somewhere where the power is available to the one that distributes it further.

The diesel as mostly a 70 mm2 wire, one leg of 35 m2 at the front pre-fuse box.
