RainX Latitude wipers don't fit
In my forever quest to find the wipers that do not skip or make screeching sound on my 2008 C350, I ordered them from rainx website. These were the ones that came up according to their website. Not only they were the wrong length, none of the adapters fit! I could tell that they were higher quality than the standard wipers on the C350 though. Too bad there was no way to make them fit. Meanwhile my original wiper skip, flutter, and screech, otherwise marring a perfect driving experience. Changing the angles of the wipers, cleaning the windshield, Rainx-ing the windshield, replacing the wipers with new Benz one, and taking the car to the dealer have not fixed this rather small but incredibly annoying problem. I am at my wit's end. If anyone know anything let me know.

Its got to be your windshield. If it were me, I'd make a slurry mixture of bonami powder and water, and clean it with some micro fiber towels with some moderate elbow grease. Make sure you are always scrubbing "wet" to avoid scratches. BonAmi gets glass very clean when used properly.

Thanks, I will try that Auto Glass Stripper. In the process of trying to get rid of the wipers skipping, I accidently broke the windshield. So I have a brand new windshield now again, which is good for visibility, but awfully expensive. Yet the wipers were still skipping. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Sometimes it's because the wipers are lacking lube - too dry, usually from car wash chemicals or wiping the rubber too much.
Try spray some wd40 or other lube on a rag, not too much, wipe it on the blade, and clean residue off lightly.
If it happens with new MB blades it's your glass and shipping wax residue - take it back to the dealer who did the pre delivery inspection / cleaning and ask them to do the glass again.
I have that flipping wax on my side window rubbers still, after trying to clean it off twice, better but still there.

It seems to be a problem of too much surface tension...really too much of a good thing. The wipers just take too much of a bite and then let go in a big jump instead of sliding.
I had the same problem until I started using "wax as you dry" from Turtle Wax. It works on paint, glass, metal, rubber and plastic so I just sprayed it everywhere the first time and everything looked great. The best "side effect" was that the wipers never skip and bugs wash right off the glass.

I've never had this problem. I use Bon Ami on the glass when I was the car. Also clean the wiper blades withn rubbing alcohol, a little bit on a paper towel and a quick slide or two along the blade gets all sorts of debris off. I have been using Rain-X for decades and have never had an issue.
