Hood Open/Close Sensor
I think there is something wrong with my hood open/close sensor. It keeps saying that my hood is open when it isnt.
In gyst, I usually dont like to slap the hood down (via gravity) so i gently let it slip into the 'hook' and then I push down on the emblem so that it clicks in the center. Well my car has given me the red 'hood open' sign at least 3 times. It only chooses to think it is closed only when i slam the hood down. where is this sensor and could it be losing it?
do you slam the hood down when it reaches the half way point and gravity takes over? or do you gently slip it into place too?

I was informed about the slamming by my service provider. They said there are 4 latches on our cars and that you have the slam it shut or all of the latches won't catch. I freaked the first time I saw it.
