C350 side marker

Just got a pair of smoked side marker today I followed the instructions but not able to pull out the original one. Do I need any special tool to do that? Could someone post detail instructions on how to do that? Mine is a 09 model btw. Thanks.

you probably have the torx screw in it. The two variations have been documented already.

Try to look at your new ones. The top of the marker should be able to be pushed out and clicked in and the bottom kind of just hooks in because of the top is "clicked" in. Hope this helps

As far as azn says, maybe you do, but my 2008 C350 from the US does not.

I finally got those suckers installed, took me over an hour to pull out the old ones. You guys are right, there's a torx screw in it. It was pain in the *** to remove that screw. They look awesome on my white C350 though.

Out of curiosity, anyone figured out which vehicles have the torx or is it random?

I had to put the torx screw back as it won't hold the new l
marker without it.

Did you get a new housing with the lens? Or did you have to install the lens onto the OE (black) housing?

I didn't need to on mine. Must be different manufacturers. Well they do look great.

where did you get your smoked side markers?? this is first time I have heard any aftermarket sidemarker or any sidemarker for that matter need screws to hold in place..
I think you may not have installed/closed the markers correctly..
if you install it right, you should hear a click and the marker & housing will lock in place..no screw is needed..

Mines had the torx screw. The torx screw makes the sidemarkers nice and tight. It also pulls the sidemarker more towards the bumper also for a more flush look.
