Mercedes Touch Up Paint
Is there anyway I can buy mercedes black matching paint touchup? I notice a little door ding mark on the side of my car and a little white scratch on the back. Not impressed.

Was going to buy this for my grill, but did not want to wait...
Here's this site:

I don't know how good it is.

The dealer charged me like $17 for the OEM package of touch up paint that consists of 2 tubes: paint and lacquer. Both used brushes. Not too sure about the black, but Palladium Silver was a distant match. A small test blotch ended up drying to exactly how Steel Grey looked like.
Alternatively, the dealerships provide a service from people like Colors On Parade that do PDR and small chip paint repair for a small price. You can contact them directly to avoid the middle man.

I asked one of the dealer's service people if they sell touch-up paint. She went in, got some, and proceeded to find and touch up three or four little scratches (I only knew about one). Totally free. She's so cool.

I have bought from www.paintscratch.com for almost 10 years now.
The color match is dead on and they offer various sizes and applications (spray, bottle, clearcoat, etc.). They have a strong following on the VW and Audi clubs.

My C is Iridium Silver. I made my own door lock cover using the paint and it is an exact match.
My other cars are silver as well and I have used ScratchPaint to paint various parts myself, and I have been very satisfied. Metallic silver is one the most difficult colors to match, but I never had a problem with them.
PaintScratch has various packages and kits. I went with both a spray can and bottle of both the basecoat and the clearcoat. I also bought primer with flex agent for painting large plastic parts (like the front license plate bracket).
For scratches I used the paint in the bottle, and carefully apply the paint with the tip of a toothpick and push the paint so that it evenly fills the scratch. The key, especially with black or dark colors is to fill the scratch or chip completely with paint so that it is level with the rest of the paint. You may have to repeat this procedure to do this.
I just bought a kit from Dr.Colorchip, as their system seems interesting and easy with good results. However their paint touchup is best suited to pitting and chips, not scratches or scrapes. I will test it out soon and post my findings.
Did your ding go through the paint? If not, there are many paintless ding repair companies out there.
Good luck!

What are you touching up?
Is it a large deep scratch, a scrape, or a chip?

I just updated my post (see above).
You may even consider using a dyed paint polish. I had friends use this product on their black cars with good results. The color in the polish colors the scratch, so there is no need to use paint. It's not permanent but it is easy and hassle-free.

How do you guys apply this stuff? I was taught to apply it with a small needle or a pin and drop it into the white chipped area of the paint. Any tips?

The reason for all this is that on July 4 while in heavy Interstate traffic at 60mph I caught up with something bouncing along in my lane that hit the lower left corner of the bumper cover with an almighty bang. The damage is the bumper trim piece (Lux model) which was destroyed along with 6-8 holes torn in the 3M film covering the bumper cover along with a small gouge in the edge below the light. Which was the only paint damage. That 3M film is tough stuff.
Can you believe that 14" X 1/4" piece of chromed plastic costs about $34? When I finish with the paint repair, the 3M film will have to be reapplied in the area and I hope they can piece it in.
Lucky, I would say.

Use rubbing alcohol prior to using your paint touch up system.
