How do you, clean your Engine Bay?
There are many way's and many different items used to clean our engine bay's, I would just like to hear you suggestions on what do you think are the best products, procedures and detailing sprays that work the best and leave little or no dust build up along the way?

ppl have different views... if you search you will find that out...
some say wash some say dont due to electronics...
in the end a low pressure wash or a wet cloth and wipe it down are the best solutions.
soap and water should be fine... no need for products... imo.

I limited my cleaning to the plastic parts, and used damp cloths to do it. I felt hesitant in spraying water into the bay because there are so many electronic parts (especially the areas behind the strut towers which are normally weather-sealed. If you want to hose it down, you should wrap all the electronic parts with plastic first.
... perhaps you should use a detailing shop to do this job ...

I have a few dedicated bath towels that I use to clean the door sills, trunk sill (sometimes the sunroof sill) and engine bay every time I wash the car. If you stay on top of it from the start, you can keep the engine looking like new. My last car had almost 8yrs and 120K and almost everything looked as new.

With everything clean, I use the cosmoline remover and smirk cleaner from Zymol and follow their instructions in application and removal, I then use tire dressing on the hoses and rubber parts, and trim shine or wheel treatment on the metal parts. The most important part is to protect from grim and rust the metal, and rubber deterioration the hoses.

2019 GLA 250 - I am in purgatory right now...
I use Adam's polishes all purpose cleaner. It's a spray bottle and I spray everything down. Then I use a dedicated wash mit for the engine compartment, when I'm done I take the nozle off the hose (low pressure / high volume) and rinse her down. I'll use compressed air and a microfiber towel to dry as best I can and then let it air dry for a few hours before I run it. I know some say that it's best to do this with the engine running so you can stop if you hear the engine starting to stutter, but I just can't bring myself to spray cold water on hot headers...
