Key Fob Decal/Sticker Skin ..

anyone know any merchants selling decals/stickers for our key fobs? specifically ones that would wrap the chrome sides (perhaps in carbon-fiber?)

they usually make them for cell phones, but i haven't found any for key fobs. tia if anyone can suggest.

I wouldn't suggest doing that.
Your key fob gets a lot of wear and tear, and any applied material will show that even more.

One option I have is to sand down the chrome and anodize (the most durable finish) the metal in whatever color you want. Because the chrome surfaces are rather small, the cost wouldn't be worth it. Applying some kind of carbon look decal is rather difficult and would look good, as it is comparible to wallpapering an egg.

I looked for a cover too. Got tired of waiting so this is what I came up with. It is real carbon fiber and is extremely durable.

actually, the 3M decal (with carbon fiber print) on my cell phone had surprisingly lasted quite well. and i had it on for almost 2 years; and aside from the slight fading the sticker remain intact. so i'm hoping i might find one as similar to use on my keyfob.

if anything, i might just purchase the 3M tape and print a design myself. then try to carve out a template by hand.

I tried the same thing Aka but the CF I used didn't stay on, the adhesive didn't hold well. My daughter got a vinyl skin for her cell that is flames on a blck background and I used the scraps for one of my keys. Looks OK.

Hey Ron, I've got a small piece left if you want it. I was saving it for something but I know You would put it to good use. PM me if you want it.
It is the same CF I used on my engine cover. It is Real CF with an automotive grade adhesive. They use it for motorcycles, dash kits etc. It doesn't come off unless you really want it to.

do you think it's flexible enough to wrap around the contours of the chrome sides of the key?

It is real CF not vinyl. There are plenty of places that sell the vinyl, I believe stage 3 is the most realistic.
