I had the SL grill on my car, I think it looked OK. Missed the CF grill though so I switched back.

It's just bad execution of a decent idea. The main problem is that the grill opening on the C class is too big...so just having the single horizontal bar just looks out of place. The other thing I don't like is how much the emblem and chrome strip is raised. It may look better if it was flatter.

But I agree I think there are much nicer options out there

Personnaly I like the SL grill more than the C63 grill on the C300/350. But that is my own choice. I was thinking of blacking out the chrome fins on the SL but the tape I normally use isn't wide enough to do it in one go, I also tried the CF laminate but the bend was to much for the adhesive. Now if someone would come out with a Brabus Bullit rep for a decent price (and consistant quality) I would have that in a flash.

C300 Luxury
Question From a Luxury to a Sport but keep the Lux Grill?

Hello everyone! I'm new to the site. I have a Black Luxury C300. I like the interior better than the sport thats why I went for it. I do like the body on the Sport better. I know its 4 peices, The front, back and two side skirts. Does anyone know where I can buy those parts? Or maybe someone would like to swap?

The original SL grill was on a car that was lower to the ground up front, the opening wasn't nearly as large as on our cars. It looked good.

The actual grill opening on the C is too tall for this style grill. Worse, there's a second grill opening underneath that simply adds to the impression that there's just not enough grill in the SL-like implementation.

I think that MB has made a mistake with their current cars when they have an interchangeable grill. While I've 27K miles on my C, and it's the sport model, from time to time I really want the lux grill and standing star. The car just looks better that way. But, I bought the car in part because of the sport grill. Go figure!

I also have a Lux grill but I don't like the standing star just doesn't look right to me. I rarely use the Lux (I think twice for a day or two) is because of the badge molded into it. I'm planning on painting it Boloro red for my brother's car.

Yes the SL grill fits, it is a pain to snap the bottom in as the holes in the grill are small and my fingers are thick. I wound up running a wire through the holes to pull it tight. There are a few different styles that I've seen black, white, all chrome, black chrome and red. I have also seen it with and without the distronics looking dome behind the star. As far as the OEM C63 grill there will be a gap the E-bay c63 rep grill for the C300/350 fits in every pic I've seen.
