C-Class (W204) 2008 - 2014: C180K, C200K, C230, C280, C300, C350, C200CDI, C220CDI, C320CDI

If you could change ONE thing about the C-Class what would it be?

Definitely MORE POWER! If Nissan can get over 300 horses out of 3.5l's, why can't Mercedes?

I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM WITH HORSE POWER STANDS BECAUSE OF THE COMPANYS POLICY THEY SAY "IF YOU WANT MORE POWER BUY THE NEXT BETTER MORE EXPENSIVE MODEL" THAT IS THE ONLY REASON

there is no better model..the C350 is the top of the range..it should be 300+ hp to compete. even the cheaper japanese rivals are 300+

people arent going to say "oh, the C350 could use a bit more power, i guess i'll get a C63" ..no, they'll head to Infiniti/Bmw

yes but why the people in mb dont produce more powerfull cars i am sick of every japanese car being faster than me! but i also have the smaller engine so i shouldnt be complaining i gues stell other manufacturers produce more hp with small (1.8 litre turbocharged cars) engines than my MB with a mere 169.3hp the car is heavy it demands more power so for me the only solution is to go buy the c350 (more hp more cc) but the problem is that in greece if you buy a car with 3000cc or more they will kick your *** with taxes

A few things to fix:
1. More Horsepower (C300 = 250hp; C350 = 300hp).
2. Better iPod control. Show song/artist on display screen. The H/K stereo is awesome.
3. Back-up camera standard w/ Navi.

Still love the car. It's better looking than the Audi A4, the BMW 3 and Infiniti G.

Buttons

I would like the Sport button moved to next the Manual button with different feel or to steering wheel.

Also would like the circulation button of aircon on steering wheel.

Possibility to specify sports steering wheel on non-AMG pack cars, just like you can in a BMW or Audi. Starting to hate the thin, awkward, unprofiled rim of the 4-spoke 'comfort' wheel (though the leather quality and steering controls are excellent). Would be nice if the same thing applied for sports seats, although that's not such a big problem given that the multi-contour seats are at least as good to sit in (not as good looking though).

You guys are forgetting the C-class is suppose to be luxury first, performance second for the price range it is located in. The C350/C300 all have enough power to cruise around town and go about the daily business.

For those complaing how the competition can get +300hp with their 3.5L engines, please take a look at their dynographs. To get that much power, you'll need to spin the engine very fast, which would be very tiring for the driver to keep the engine boiling near the redline.

Instead of looking at Horsepower, look at the torque figures. You'll soon realize that the torque output by this engine is equivalent to those of its competitors and is fact a very good engine for the job it was designed to do, which is to cruise around town comfortably without being wringed to the redline every single time. The C-class is an entry luxury car that does it's job very well, it is not a race car.

I've got an '08 Sport.

> More comfy seats, the standard MB Tex seating is fine long as you don't drive the car for more than an hour. After that it about as comfy as a park bench.

> I would like to see LED daytime lights like the new E-Class but we all know they are coming soon anyway, I suspect 2011.

> I wish the tails were all LED and matched the CHMSL and turn signal LED's

> I wish traction control could be 100% disabled.

> I wish side sun shades were optional or featured.

> I think at this price point the trunk should be 100% lined, my car has metal showing under the package tray.

> C300 hp should be 250/260 and C350 hp should be north of 300.

I'm sure I could come up with more, these are just a few off the top of my head.

MEMORY SEATING!!! It took me forever to find a perfect seating position and then the dealership moved my seat when I went in for a minor warranty repair...now I can't get comfortable in my damn car again! I'm constantly moving around in my seat and adjusting the seat to find that "sweet spot" again. This is my fifth new car in 8 years and never had this problem before...

C350 with 4matic for us folks in the U.S.

A manual tranny for the above would be really nice

Once again here in the U.S. the Keyless Start would be nice also so i wouldnt have to go digging into my bag when i go to my car. Luuved this feature in my 06 IS250

Uhhh one other thing ... LED's everywhere hehehe !!

Longer travel suspension for rough roads & culverts.
More pliable suspension overshort sharp bumpy road surface.
Slightly better ground clearance.
Higher profile tyres ie 65's.
ie why not produce a C Class with a 'county pack'.

But I love it for better or worse, richer or........

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
A minimum of 300 HP for the C350 model would be a nice starter and less hard plastic on the doors. Since we're complaining, it doesn't make sense that the sports model is limited to 130 mph when it is equiped with tires that are clearly capable of way more.
