I didnt mean the flaring I mean how much it actually "molds" or wraps on the body work compared to say a flat mudflap. Has anyone tried to install ordinary flat mudflaps from an autozone or parts america? I want to cover that area that is recessed so the spary dont come up, but I want them long enough to stop stuff from kicking up. where I live they use sand not salt in the winter. I had a car before where 1 winter and the paint was blasted to primer.

I would be interested in a group buy if these are all I can find. I am looking at getting something in the next couple weeks before the road trip.

The oem flaps for the non-sport are more functional, but look it too, very low like you said:

If it's true Hitech makes these for MB, then they likely don't make nicer looking ones too (for non-sports), like in the op.

Last week, I bought a set on ebay directly from hitech but a few days later I got an email telling me that there is a 2-week delay while they adjust the tooling to make a better fit. They said that if I am in a hurry they can still send me their stock but the fitting is not so good. Anyone else got this delay?

I got the identical response for a set I purchased for my sedan/saloon, although the original post was for the estate.

Maybe they are making them better? Please post as soon as someone gets the updated set! I like the non sport flaps better.
What is an estate mudflap? They look the same as the original ebay listing they just were not called estate flaps.

Estate = Station Wagon. Isn't the lower body work exactly the same as the saloon....uh, I mean sedan?

NO REPLY FROM HITECH

FYI, I paid HITECH two weeks ago and have gotten one email saying they want an additional 20GBP to ship to NYC, sent them several (many) replies already asking for an additional invoice and no reply from them, got it from ebay.uk , paid them the first payment, now I don't know if they will ship the items or not, they just dissapeared.

Has anybody had a similar experience like this with them????

They are no longer on ebay anymore. I know I can get a set of regular flat mudflaps to work on the fronts, I just need to figure something out for the rear. There is no lip to screw into. If anyone knows of any way to clip it like the molded ones......please let me know. I dont think the molded ones are for sale anymore.

I've just found the E-mail address for the guy at Hitech, he gave it to me to send photo's of the flaps when painted and fitted. Hope you get a response from him, he was quite abrupt with me over postage. I would also get in touch with E-bay.

I'll take close up photo's of the rear moulded fittings and post them if that helps

Hi guys, these are back on the eBay market now, and delivery will be by the end of the week. There was no issue with the fit, just a minor improvement has been made... I will be putting new images of Silver painted parts online soon...

My package from England arrived with two very nicely presented boxes inside...one set for the front...one for the rear. Instructions are clear and parts are included. I just held one of the rears in place and fit looks excellent. I am going to have them painted prior to installation, so I'll let you know how it works out. Other than a slight delay for what the seller said was to improve fit (worthwhile!)...this all seems to have gone well.

Hi Guys,

Here is the eBay link with NEW pictures of some painted mudflaps...

There will be an advert going in the Mercedes Enthusiasts magazine next month.

These have been designed to fit the Saloon/Sedan, and the Estate/Station Wagon models...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...#ht_659wt_1167

I have also advertised the correct prices for postage now, £30 for Europe, £50 for international. Local postage cost £8.

Thanks

Hitech Autoparts!

It looks very high end. A little pricey for me though.
I'll need to replace tires soon

Yeah I know, had to pay a bit more due to international shipping costs (50 against 20lbs) maybe that is why, for a US east coast ship its 20lbs me thinks.

might be cheaper if you live on the eastern seaboard........

Shipping is 8 GBP for UK, 30 GBP for Europe, and 50 GBP everywhere else. I checked the pricing for the UK Post Office, and it really is that expensive to ship. Ordered mine today.. still think the UK sucks.

I bought original 2 piece fender flares direct from Mercedes Parts. They are the same as fitted to the C63, can't remember how much. They are supplied in primer ready for painting. Replica's can be found on E-bay and other sites.

Try this site here in OZ. With the $AUS exchange rate nearly on par with the the $US it pay be a bit cheaper.

www.carmats4u-com-au

I'm in no way affiliated with this website or seller, it just something that I was searching for myself and still contemplating purchasing

Mercedes W204 C Class AMG Mud Flaps 2010+ Facelift Model

2010+ Post Facelift W204 AMG / Sports Edition Mud Flaps!!

Just wanted to share news on my recent purchase - mudflaps for the new shape c class sports edition 125.
Theyre as listed - look very smart and sporty.

These mudflaps took about 10 minutes fitting and look the business.

I tried calling Mercedes Dealers - apparently you cannot get these from there.

C Class 125 Edition / AMG Sports Mud Flaps

I ordered my mudflaps in Iridium Silver so that they are colour matched. They also offer Standard Finish or a range of different paint colours
